Parking Restrictions
Per state guidelines effective 2008, all individuals utilizing handicapped parking spaces within the City of Newark must adhere to the following rules:
Initial Payment Required
Handicapped parkers must pay for the maximum time allowed by the meter before any exceptions apply.
24-Hour Overtime Exception
Once the maximum meter time has been paid initially, the free 24-hour overtime exception automatically applies.
Valid Credentials
You must possess and clearly display a valid and up-to-date registration card, hangtag, and/or specialized license plate.
